We recently captured an engagement session and theme was a romantic picnic in the vineyards of Domaine Saint-Jacques!
Several years ago I met Seraphin through friends, I immediately liked his ”joie de vivre” and kindness. One evening he introduced us to Alexas whom he was recently dating. It was very clear from this moment they were made for each other and it was only the beginning of a great adventure for the two lovebirds. Their connection was already very obvious!
Then last year, I wasn’t surprised to see on Facebook that they were finally engaged , it was such great news! Especially, when not long after, they contacted me to know if Junophoto was available to photograph their wedding. You can imagine my excitement!
Though school teacher during the day, Alexa is used to posing in front of the camera, often for creative shoots. So for her engagement session, she wanted something a bit more original with a beautiful backdrop and props. Séraphin when to Atwater market for croissants, bread and flowers that he picked himself to create a nice little bouquet. So cute!
Furthermore, Alexa took care of bringing the little basket, buying the cover at Linen Chest especially for this session and obviously finding the perfect outfits for herself and her fiancé. The pastel hues of their look are perfect with the colors of the vineyard, don’t you find? In fact, we usually advise our couples to wear neutral colors or pastels for their engagement session. It’s perfect for timeless pictures!
We were warmly welcomed by Nathalie one of the owners of the Vineyard of Domaine Saint Jacques. The couple bought some bottles of rosé which were a perfect accessory for the picnic (and also to quench our thirst haha!). We were then ready for a romantic picnic in the Vineyard of the Domain Saint Jacques!
By the way, that day was one of the hottest and most humid days in Quebec meaning a thunderstorm burst 10 minutes after the beginning of the session. Fortunately, we were able to put ourselves under cover until the rain stopped. Then later, the sun finally reappeared giving an almost magic golden light, it was perfect!
When one says vineyard, on says country, meaning most likely animals 🙂 We were super lucky to have cute little cats come and hang out during the whole engagement session and even decide to photobomb the pictures. It’s almost like we placed them there!
What a great idea from the future bride and groom to have had their engagement session in a vineyard! We love it! Their wedding is only in September 2019 and we almost wish we were already there!
