Spring wedding at Auberge St Gabriel, old Montreal

Julie + Yves

We met with Yves and Julie quite  some time ago since they had planned to get married in October 2013. A unexpected and beautiful gift arrived, their little Delphine, and the wedding was rechedule to the end of April 2014.

We had the pleasure of seeing them several times, after last year’s engagement session, we photographed Delphine  when she was only a few days .

It is therefore with great pleasure that we saw once again Julie and Yves, this time to celebrate their wedding! It was so nice to see Delphine, who obviously has grown so much since we last shot her! She’s so adorable and seemed to like the camera ( she was trying to catch it when we were taking pictures !)

The wedding took place at the Auberge St Gabriel, getting ready were close by at Spring Hill Suites. Because of the schedule the day, Yves and Julie followed our advice and we did the couple’s session before the ceremony. To keep the magic moment where the bride and groom see each other for the first time all dressed up, we organized an intimate “first look” in Old Montreal. I think this is one of my most moving ” first look “! Despite the rain we shot outside, then continued in the Auberge St Gabriel to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the attic.

Yves and Julie did a great job decorating and played with travels as a theme for the event. It was very inspiring to photograph all the details they made with love. I especially liked the wooden initials realised by Julie’s father. Not to mention the beautiful bouquets and centerpieces designed by Atelier Carmel.

The ceremony as well as reception took place at the Auberge St Gabriel and it was filled with joy and emotions, poignant vows and moving speeches !
